Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said the party is fully prepared to participate in the House of Representatives (HoR) election scheduled for March 5, 2026.
During a meeting with Minister for Communications and Information Technology and Government Spokesperson Jagadish Kharel at his Maharajgunj residence on Thursday, Deuba said contesting the upcoming election is the party’s top priority.
According to Minister Kharel, Deuba also advised the government to create an environment conducive to holding the election in a free, fair and impartial manner.
Kharel met Deuba in his capacity as a member of the government’s political dialogue committee. He is also scheduled to hold separate meetings later today with CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ as part of ongoing political consultations.
