Kathmandu police have arrested Chan Min Ching, the chairman of Casino Waldo Dynasty Entertainment, in connection with an ongoing fraud investigation involving cheating operations at the casino, police confirmed today.
According to Pawan Bhattarai, spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Range Kathmandu, Ching — a Chinese national — was taken into custody on charges of fraud linked to systematic deception at the casino.
Police previously detained several individuals in the case, including four Indian nationals and two Nepalis, on allegations that they manipulated casino games by organizing fake players and using deceptive devices such as special lenses and marked chips to cheat genuine patrons. Ching’s arrest aims to further the investigation into the same network of illegal activity.
The alleged fraud scheme reportedly took place under the guise of a “Casino Event” at the gambling venue operated within the Aloft Hotel premises in Kathmandu. Authorities said the group was orchestrating games that gave unfair advantage to certain participants.
Law enforcement has indicated that the investigation remains active, and further action may be taken as more evidence is gathered.
This is a developing story and may be updated as new details emerge.
